Recently retired after 25 years as an art therapist and art teacher with students with emotional disturbance in Sydney, I am now focussing on painting landscapes.

I am exploring my relationship with the Australian landscape, embracing the beauty of my adopted land and want to express the boldness and fragility of the Australian landscape.

In my works, I am seeking to capture the moments of connection with place, using a strong and intense colour palette, drawing on my Caribbean heritage and interest in patterning, texture and vibrant colour.

Much of my work has been confined to the coastal regions but recent visits to the Kimberley region, the Red Centre and the East and West McDonnell Ranges took my work in a new direction.
